Lauren began weaving in 2015, in the throws of sleep-deprived, caffeine-fuelled newborn-mayhem. She instantly fell in love with the craft, and started making woven wall hangings for anyone that showed even the slightest bit of interest in her newfound obsession. Sarah was her first customer (bless!), insisting on buying Lauren's first piece.
Fast forward a couple of years... Lauren gifted Sarah a loom during a stressful period, in the hopes it would offer her the same peace weaving had provided Lauren. One wall hanging lead to another, and before they knew it, Lauren and Sarah were making plans to share their love of weaving with the world. But with a point of difference. Cue mindfulness skills!
Sarah is a clinical psychologist and has a Mary Poppins-esque bag full of mindfulness goodies fit for all types of emotions, challenges and seasons. Weaving lends itself beautifully to practising mindfulness; learning to be present, whilst being productive and creative.
